Feast of the Lord Life Cycle

Adonai said to Moshe, “Tell the people of Israel: ‘The designated times of Adonai which you are to proclaim as holy convocations are My designated times. (Leviticus 23:1-2)
Moedim
The singular of the word moadim is “moed”, meaning appointed, designated or design. It tells us that God expects His people to meet Him; He has marked His calendar and set aside specific times to sup with us. Having no need to invoke His Name for Him to come, because He is already present awaiting our arrival.

The Feast Life Cycle gives a picture of the Believer’s journey with Messiah; moving into becoming a new creation. Here are the themes of the three major Feasts:
- Passover (Unleavened Bread and Firstfruits) – salvation
- Shavuot (Pentecost) – redemption
- Sukkot (Yom Teruah and Yom Kippur) – deliverance

These moedim or “Feasts of the LORD” refer to the divinely appointed times (rehearsals) in the Hebrew calendar, including the weekly Shabbat and the annual holy days. These serve as reminders of God’s covenantal relationship with Israel and as times for worship, reflection, and celebration. For Believers in Yeshua Messiah, these same moedim offer the opportunity to experience Ruach Kodesh (Holy Spirit) transforming us into:
- a new identity
- a life of value and worth
- a life of meaningful purpose
- a good destiny
- an eternal inheritance (promise)
