9 Adonai said to Moshe, 10 “Tell the people of Isra’el, ‘After you enter the land I am giving you and harvest its ripe crops, you are to bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest to the cohen. 11 He is to wave the sheaf before Adonai, so that you will be accepted; the cohen is to wave it on the day after the Shabbat. 12 On the day that you wave the sheaf, you are to offer a male lamb without defect, in its first year, as a burnt offering for Adonai. Leviticus 23:9-12
FirstFruits – “… So that you will be accepted …”
- Adoption is accepting or appointing a person into one’s family, as a son and heir, by will; giving him title to the privileges and rights of a child. The adoptee receives the name, arms, and support of the Adopter.
- Through the covenant between the Father and the Son we gain access into a most intimate relationship. Yahweh esteems us as sons; children He loves, protects, benefits, instructs and corrects.
- Messiah, the Firstfruits, is our Advocate, who fully represents us; just as He did on the cross and in the grave. Yeshua overcame death and represents us now as the Living One seated at the right hand of the Father. Yeshua took our place, purchasing our approval with His life.
